‘LONDON’

A short film inspired by the poem ‘London’ written by visionary artist William Blake. Published in ‘Songs of Experience’ in 1794 it presents a nightmarish, hallucinatory vision of the city. The film takes place mainly on the banks of the river Thames where ‘London’ is set and was shot on the most somber days of winter to match the atmosphere of the poem. Part of an ongoing series of films inspired by the poetry of William Blake
